And it is Christmas

I've waited 365 days and Christmas has finally arrived again ,with the weather hot and the air dry what more could you want. The festive season will not be the same this year because of my work commitments, not spending much time with family and friends will also tug at my heart strings .My heart is heavy with grief thinking of all the sorrow in the world at moment and those not as fortunate as myself. And to the fairy who kissed me on the bum by 67 years ago thanks again, you have given me good health and also good luck. And to all of my followers I hope that you enjoy the festive season and have a happy new year..............WADDA

Waddas plans for 2017

As a very busy year draws to an end and I quickly glance over my shoulder to the year that has been. With another  grandson being added to the family tree also working taking holidays and attending funerals this seems to have been the general run of the mill for 2016 ,so hopefully 2017 brings less funerals and more holidays and more grandchildren .I'm about to return to work as a casual in my old job as a train driver ,so hopefully I can still cut it in this demanding job .Along with my mate we are also planning a trip overseas next April but more on that in the new year. To all of the people who have been following my adventures thanks. As my urge to travel within Australia and also overseas is still strong I will try to keep my dream alive and continue to plan many more trips.............  And merry Christmas to all.......................WADDA.

Coming home

As we await the arrival of a cab to take us to Heathrow for our 1305 departure to Melbourne via Dubai,I think of the 5 days spent in London. Our Accomadation at Studio2let was of no consideration for normal size people, the bathroom was 6 feet long X 3 feet wide.In this tiny space they had a shower hand basin and a dunny ,l don't recommend this type living for my worst enemy . I leave this shoebox never to return and advise anyone who cares to listen if you are a member of the gnome family this will suit your needs. That is the only negative thing that I have say regarding the last 5 weeks of this touring adventure to ,Italy..... England.... Ireland and Scotland have given me great joy as we traveled to some of the most beautiful scenery I've ever encountered .Vince the cabbie arrives so we load up and join the procession to Heathrow and for the 80quid fare he gives us a running commentary, what a great cabbie yes Vince you done yourself proud and the pleasure was all ours .......WADDA

My last day in London...ALONE

Wadda will be spending his last day in this beautiful city of London alone doing his own thing which means no shopping. With a beautiful day forecast I've decided to cruise the river Thames all the way to Greenwich and then on to Londons flood barriers. 13 quid later we leave the Westminster dock bound for places never visited by WADDA before, as the crew points out points of interest along the way I cool my jets on the mighty Thames river. With no shopping or crowds to worry about this is heaven, my time is spent just at peace with the world. Arriving back in Greenwich I head for dry land to sus out GMT headquarters and the meridian line, but to my dismay the place is totally over run by types I care not to mention. With a 1.30hr wait to straddle the meridian line I head back to the boat ramp a bit disappointed ,as I've often said before shit happens. My time in this beautiful part of London is almost over as my boat comes in I glance skyward to the vapour trails, this time tomorrow one will have Waddas name on it. As my wanderings wind down I am looking forward to returning to my own country with fewer people and certainly a lot less cars and buses. By now Wadda is a little bit smarter so he hops off at London bridge to catch the tube home, but I spot a bus going my way how cool is this. After 1.30hrs sitting inside a red double decker bus with a noise sounding like air conditioning but wasn't , I arrived not to far from home totally knackered. The lesson learnt don't take the bus on Friday afternoon. I think it is cider time I'll be back, the others arrive back from the Tower of London and it's out for our last supper and a few drinks before an early night. I'll be back on Monday to tidy up the final blog . So good bye for now........WADDA

Going to Betty's Palace and some.

The decision has been made to go to Buckingham palace today but on the way some will ride the London Eye, also visit No 10 Downing Street . With the changing of the guards also taking place we take advantage of this spectacle as well, with thousands attending this Royal event security is very high. Where soon isolated from our wives in these massive crowds, they go on to view Betty's house while we head to Winnie's War rooms. Sparks goes to the war rooms while I park me bum in the park watching people ,squirrels and anything else that moves. The temperature is in the low 30s so there is plenty to occupy my mind, what a way to spend an afternoon. My peace is soon shattered with the return of our better halves and it begins to rain, we catch the tube to Mayfair for retail therapy. we walk the streets wondering just where do all these people come from. While strolling down New Bond street which I may add is the richest street in all of Europe. We spot the top of the range Bugatti worth a cool 1.5 mill parked in the street then go into a gun shop a check out a shotgun valued at jaw dropping 500.000 Aussie dollars. With everyone starting to slow down and the very warm weather we catch a cab to Barbican for a Turkish dinner, this is our last meal together as we begin to fly home on Saturday . As we ready ourselves for the long flight home ,today will be our last day chasing our dream in this fabulous country..............WADDA

A day at Kew gardens or was it Heathrow

Today we plan to meet some of the family who are left over from the wedding at the Kew gardens, this quite location should be a good place to relax. Oh how wrong was i as the main approach to Heathrow airport was right over the gardens, and every 70 sec a plane was landing, in the 5 hrs that I spent there at least a couple of hundred landings took place. The quiet day in the park was a disaster so my theory now is seen one park seen em all, would not waste my money on such a noisey place. With the temperature around 30c the people are feeling the pressure of this mini heat wave and we head to the pub, and a sweating heaving mass of locals have the same idea, This non air conditioned pub was just a hot and noisey oppressive pit of misery, out side the clouds are building. When it's time to go it's plssin rain can you believe it ,as I haul my bedraggled body back to the shoebox I start to question my theory on livin the dream. The minor slump in my enthusiasm is over and the best is yet to come, we will hit the tourist trail later today.........WADDA

A day in London

Today it is expected to be hot in good old London Town so we plan a trip to the British Museum, but as usual I'm up early gotta get some breakfast goodies and check out the squirrels in the park over the road. With the cramped living conditions my freedom with the little critters gives me a chance renew my vows with nature , with food limitations placed on me i begin my day on a near empty stomach. No large English breakfast today hopefully later in the week, coffee and toast is the best I manage. With museum about a10 min walk away we stroll through the lovely parks reaching our destination the same time as thousands of others, doesn't anyone work over here obviously not. 3 hrs later we head for the shops. Wadda needs to rehydrate a refreshing cider sounds like a good idea, the small hotel just around the corner called the Resting Hare sounds even better. After many hours of cider sipping we head home to the cosy and cramped garden shed , the cider gods have sent me to bed a happy man . Hoo roo............WADDA

Studio2Let

Our trip from Edinburgh to London took some 4.30hrs on a Virgin train traveling at about 125mph not bad for the poms I suppose. Our hotel for the next 5 days is called Studio2Let in the Camden district of London, the check in went fine and 3 flights of stairs later we arrived. Well for the first 10minutes it was heaven then we were politely told there was a mistake. Not even time to park my bum on the bed and we are on the move, more stairs but this time we are going down. Our penthouse has shrunk to about a shoebox size but we do have a roof over our head , next task is to shoe horn our stuff into this garden shed size room. Haven't tried the dunny yet but I think is a stand on the seat job no room for a long legged person to linger, maybe I'll join the squirrel club in the nearby park. Miss Denny's health has improved so we will continue to gad about this great city. In a bar we come across an American English professor ,he drinks gin we drink beer what a combination. Our time spent in the sidewalk bar was well worth the price of a drink , we didn't quite solve the problems of the world but his company was just great. Today was 29c tomorrow 31 hope I don't perish in these heatwave conditions, catch ya later.............WADDA

Monday 22 August 2016

Edinburgh then to London

We arrived into Edinburgh on Saturday morning found our lodgings dumped the hire car and set about exploring the fringe festival. Rain is falling but no enough to deter this group of hearty travellers, Edinburgh is bursting at the seams with festival goers just like us. The good wife is coming down with some sort of illness, she looks like s..t so we head home we will tackle it again tomorrow. With the wife secured in the bedroom we head out for a pint or two and maybe something to eat, with our bellies full of pizzas and cider we head home to check on the patient. To our Suprise she's still alive so we will take her out again tomorrow. Awaken next morning to a cracking day no rain plenty of sun shine and the patient feeling a lot better. First up we tour the Royal Yacht Britannia which is now a tourist attraction in Edinburgh harbour. Dear old Betty lived the high life whilst travelling the high seas along with all the other royals. As we walk the Royal Mile to Edinburgh castle the crowds are just bursting the seams of this beautiful place, the street entertainment is drawing huge crowds which are continually blocking the road. Along with thousands of others we trek through the castle then we begin to amble towards home with the light fading and by now very tired legs . We again dine on pizzas and cider before retiring for our last night in Scotland, the pleasure has been all mine to travel around the countryside and stayin some great places. Last but not least the people of Scotland were  just so good to us Aussies both on the roads and in our everyday dealings with them.........WADDA.    Next stop London

A trip to St Andrews

Today were planning to go to St Andrews to visit the golf course that made many a golfer famous, this is a links course that runs right beside the windswept ocean . We again take the B roads to see more of this beautiful part of Scotland, and we are not disappointed drivlng  through the rich farmlands of golden crops. Arriving ar St Andrews the wind coming off the ocean is strong and very cool , of the people who have turned up for a hit some are ok and some wasting their money. At about 180 bucks a round I'm sure I'd be wasting mine ,many hours spent shopping now it's on to the botanical gardens. With the rain starting to fall we head back to Dunblane via the coast stopping at a small town called Anstruther right on the waters edge for some beautiful hot fish& chips . Today we are heading to Edinburgh for our last 2 days in Scotland so bye for now...........WADDA

What's been happening

Yesterday we left Witherslack to make our way to Dunblane in Scotland, our first stop was at Hadrians Wall. On the A6 it's full speed ahead and this little Ford diesel can really motor, a quick lesson in how the wall was built and we head to the Roman ruins. Very interesting if you have the time to take it all in, we take to the hedge roads again an head to the Scottish boarder. With some confusion in the car we become misplaced somewhere in the north of England, as I said were not lost we are just looking around. My expert navigator Sparks and Tom Tom eventually get us back on the road to Scotland, after about 100mile detour via Jedburgh. The Hilton in Dunblane was a welcome sight as the light faded , more food and more cider and it's lights out. After a big breakfast we hit the road to Killin up in the loch country to chase down some family history, the burial grounds for the Macnab clan is on a small island. The oldest grave marker is dated 1776 and there are 9 chieftains buried at this site ,we move on to Kenmore further up the loch for lunch another very pretty site. Nothing more to say so see ya later........WADDA

The Lakes District

Today we are going to explore the beautiful lakes around Windermere, but we spot a sign pointing to Levan Castle and gardens. The girls win the first battle of the day so it's castle gazing first up, it's ok if you like castles but my motto is seen one seen em all. We eventually head to the beautiful lakes district but the non working holidaying poms have taken over this beautiful place, our plans are soon devoured by cars and people . What a bummer with our well laid plans in disarray we head further north to Ambleside which is still busy but not as bad. With the rest of the day spent just cruising these tight narrow roads we arrive at a place called Coniston ,on the lake here is where Donald Campbell was killed in 1967 trying to set a new water speed record . All these towns and villages are so so pretty you never tire of there beauty, the weather has been mainly fine so still in shorts and thongs. Today we head to Dunblane in Scotland for 3 days so see ya then.........WADDA

England bound

Hi here we are on the Irish Sea between England and Ireland conditions are mill pond calm ,or as the Aussies would say flat as a shit carters hat. With not a cloud in the sky and no wind this is sailing heaven, I've discovered the big Irish Breakky on board so i better not miss out. As the English coast line appears we ready ourselves to ditch the slow pace of sailing and tackle the motorway to Witherslack some 180 miles to the north wish  us luck. As we travel further north the Welsh countryside is still amazing, with the motorway hugging the coastline it truly is special . The Ford Galaxy is fairly humming on these fabulous English roads and at 80 mph the locals are still flashing past, pretty soon we cruise into Witherslack. This one pub one store town called Witherslack looks like it might be a nice little spot to recharge our batteries for a couple of days. After a few ciders and a lovely dinner I call it quits for the day........WADDA

Another night of Irish music and cider leave us knackered so we retire, tomorrow we leave the land leprechauns and head England to continue our adventure. Up at sparrow fart to catch the ferry no big Irish Breakky today..".yet ..as we leave the shores of Ireland i will try to track down some food hoo roo for now........WADDA

Killarney to Ennis and the cliffs of Moher

Another beautiful day in Ireland as we begin the next leg of this fantastic journey through this beautiful country . The cliffs of Moher have been on my must visit wish list for quite some time and now is the time, we push north west for a couple of hours on up to County Clare to where these cliffs are situated. To our Suprise many thousands of other people had the same idea this is renta crowd at it's best, on arrival at the entrance there is a sorry car park full sign to greet us . With 12000 miles behind us we are not missing out on this famous Irish attraction , an hour or so later we manage to make our way into the car park. Wow what a sight this rugged section of coastline did not disappoint us, along with the thousands of other we looked out over the Cliffs of Moher with sheer amazement. Our journey to the cliffs complete we head back to the town of Ennis some 40ks away , I start to wind up my day with a few quite ciders and as evening falls my lights start to dim. Due to poor internet service I am posting this blog much later, actually it's 630am on Sunday morning and Wadda is not quite at full speed yet, so I'll say goodbye.........WADDA

The Ring of Kerry and return ops also Dingle

Our day today is pretty full on so its up early for the big Irish Breakfast and on the road by 8.30 ,for our journey around the Ring of Kerry. This world renowned tourist destination can be a nightmare to drive because of all the buses making the same trip. With our on time departure on time we begin this epic journey, alas all is not ok Miss Denny asks what time will we be in Dingle. As team leader i inform her that Dingle is not on our itinerary today maybe next time, i stand firm for maybe 10sec before relenting . The drive to Dingle and back to Tralee was just awesome this is a very beautiful part of Ireland, with that problem solved we tackle the Ring of Kerry. This stunning coastal route is more than we ever thought possible , with very narrow roads a tight bends the challenge is ours. In places the road is very steep as it climbs along the coast. You have to see Ireland for yourself just to believe how beautiful it is,we also visited  Muckross castle on the way home. Killarney is a very busy place at this time of year all the tourists are chasing the same beauty we discovered on our journey today .Tomorrow we head for Ennis and the cliffs of Mohar.....goodnight WADDA

Dublin to Midleton and Killarney

Yesterday we left Dublin in our hire car and headed south to Kildare to visit the Irish national horse stud ,it's pissin rain looking very dull as we head off down the motorway. As we arrive at the fun farm for stallions the rain stops and the weather clears, so we are ready to tour the fun farm . When the tour finishes we check out the gardens , no more to see so we hit the road again with no route planned to get to Midleton. Some 200 odd ks to the south lies our next stop over so we head off on the non motorway version of touring, while we travel through the back country of this lovely country to places we haven't even heard of it's just beautiful. Our arrival in Midleton some 4 hrs later to find the only 2 single rooms booked, good on ya Bookings .Com , the very helpful staff soon fix the problem. After more cider WADDA needs a early night because tomorrow its off to Blarney, first chore of the new day is attend to the washing. Blarney here we come so you better scrub the most slagged on rock  in the world cos we want to kiss this mythical peace of rock ourselves, I'll say it again this country is just so beautiful as we make our way to Blarney Castle ,people power drive this hocus pocus myth and I'm just lovin it. Wadda takes his turn at kissing this slimy old rock and loved every minute of this experience, we continue on toward Kilarnery sticking to the back roads. The weather today is just nice about 23 c this is what they call an Irish summers day, Kilarney might look like a dot on our map but let me tell you it's a busy busy place but beautiful. Tomorrow it's the Ring Of Kerry some 180 ks taking approximately 6 to 8 hrs should be spectacular, see ya then.........WADDA

A day in Dublin

With a big day planned for our day in this lovely city we hit the streets early, but first we need a big Irish breakfast. We find a cosy cafe and proceed with our mission, job done and we move on to the circle the city on a bus trip. Bottom deck full so we go topside into the cool Irish air this turns out to be a poor decision, it's freezing as Fangio the bus driver puts the bus through its paces. We bailed off and  find a coffee shop this is much more to our liking, and couldn't resist the beautiful cream cakes. While walking off a few calories we came across the Arlington hotel down by the river Liffy ,and they host Irish music dancing and food . We booked in for the evening session starting at 1830 should be ok, a visit to the Dublin castle is next on the to do list ,a couple of hours learning some of Ireland's history we make tracks for Leo Burdocks the famous fish shop. This world famous shop opened for business in 1913 and had every famous person through its doors, now it's had WADDA. Poor old Leo didn't recognise me so not to make a fuss I said nothing. Moving on to my next important place to visit i arrive at the Hairy Lemon pub to do a cider test, this is one of the places the cabbie warned me about on my arrival in this lovely city. I held my nerve as they knew I was an Aussie, if you ever go across the seas to Ireland visit Leo Burdocks fish&chip shop and the Hairy Lemon pub . Just home from a great night out at the Arlington hotel where we saw Irish singing & dancing also checked out their cider supply, met some very nice people from Israel they loved the Aussie. I'm out of here.....WADDA

Holyhead to Dublin

We have parked our wheels for a short time and head to Ireland via  a 3hr ferry ride ,this service is very smooth and pretty fast . As I sit hear waiting for this journey to end I think of the next part of this great overseas experience. Whilst checking out the boat I come across a Danish women and her young child playing a harp and singing Danish folk songs, breathtakingly unbelievable and also fantastic. About 1hr out of Dublin I am getting a bit toey to see some land, my time on the high seas is nearly over . Our arrival was an eye opener the moment we started to disembark because all people on level 7 had to proceed to level 5 now that you have reached level 5 please return to level 7 welcome  to Ireland .
Grab a cab and head to our hotel, the cabbie was great source of information about wandering around at night and with whom to socialise with, with his advice duly noted we bid him farewell. We wander the streets for a few hours of therapy shopping, tomorrow will be an all new experience in the Irish way of life. As evening settles it's out for dinner and sip some cider ,at 930pm the sun has just set and so has mine .............WADDA

Down Inn to Holyhead

Today's journey to Holyhead is around 180 ks and should take about 2.30hr if you follow the Tom Tom , we have no intentions of listening to a machine all day long we are going to wing it. As we trundle out of England and enter North Wales I begin to feel something special is about to happen,as the country side changes our arrival into the beautiful but brutal rugged Snowdonia national park . To my Welsh mate back in Melbourne why didn't you tell me how beautiful your country is,the Snowdonia region has just staggered me. We move on to Port Merion, just unbelievable, how glad I am that I discovered these beautiful places that are now etched deeply into my brain ...I will never forget the beauty. Our time in Holyhead will be short as we sail to the Emerald Isle tomorrow, I'll try the photo attachment plan again I might get lucky who knows.........WADDA

Down Inn to Telford & Ironbridge and return

Another big breakfast and a car full of dirty washing the 4 happy travelers set sail to do the washing, in some far away place called Telford. Aussie Al on my English Tom Tom steered us right to the front door of the laundromat in the back streets of town . This place is the wrong side of the tracks for my liking, with no other option we unload and the work begins to clear this backlog of dirty clothes. With the fear of losing body parts in this part of town the washing is done in record time, we hit the road and don't look back. Our arrival into Ironbridge is just oh ar and the odd o my god, i ask myself why the Poms have all this pretty country side . The scenery here is stunning and the river Severn just seems to be so peaceful, with Ironbridge being 300 odd years old it sure has some history . As we wander aimlessly around this very old town l smile inwardly to myself and say yeah this will do until tomorrow . On the way back to the Down Inn we arrived at Bridgnorth another beautiful spot on the river Severn to check out the cliff railway, after a short journey up and down the cliff face we head home. Tonight as we eat turkey from the carvery and drink cider I think only 2 more sleeps till we arrive in the land of the leprechauns, gotta go..........WADDA

Chipping Camden to Bridgnorth

We leave this lovely little village in the Cotswolds and head to Stratford upon Avon to visit the house of Billy Shakespeare ,the somewhat famous poet . The first thing to greet us was the huge numbers of people who obviously had the same idea as us ,this place is full on. Thousands of people are milling all round the truly amazing place,we push through the crowds to Billy's birth place. The house is a credit to those who care for it with wonky floors and crooked doorways it's still ok, outside hundreds of people await their turn to view this 500 year old house. When Billy passed away they dug a hole in the church floor and popped him in as well as the rest of his family, 3 quid later we visit his last resting place. After 4hrs of walking the streets of this lovely city it's time to head to our next location, as this holiday moves toward its 3rd week England is still full of surprises. We move on to Bridgnorth for the next couple of days to visit places like Telford,, Ironbridge and any other place that catches our eye. On arrival at our next place of rest at the lovely Down Inn just outside Bridgnorth with its old country style living and warm hospitality I'm sure our stay will be great. I'm out of here so see ya............WADDA

Yeovil to Chipping Camden

Today we are leaving behind the beautiful south west of England and head to the Cotswolds, this day will take in some great places including Bath ,Burton on the Water and Stow on the Wold. As we head to Bath the rain is pissin down , while I drive these very narrow and congested roads I remind myself that it will be all worth the effort. Beautiful Bath has lost none of its charm since my last visit as I ride the big red bus one more time, time is up we must press on. To my fellow travelers who at times think i may  be lost I just say no l am just looking around, works most of the time. Two more places of interest to show my fellow travelers, and it's off to Chipping Camden . We have discovered another little gem just full of more antique shops than you can poke a stick at yes Chipping Camden. Another English treasure what a beautiful little town and pretty country side , as we walk the streets of this historic town checking house prices the dream soon ends. Cider has become my drink over here some good some not so good, I can smell  breakfast so gotta go.........WADDA

A day at the seaside

With a big English breakfast tucked under my belt I'm ready to hit the road for a solid day of touring. With my girth expanding larger everyday I might have to lay off the big belly food for a day or two ,driving through this beautiful Dorset country side and passing through many postcard villages it's just mind boggling. Our first stop is Bridport ,just so beautiful and the street market in full swing with antique shops a plenty ,we continue on to places like Swyre  ,Abbotsbury and continued on to Portland Bills lighthouse. We participated in a high tea in in Abbotsbury very nice but not WADDAS idea of fun, this country inn is calling my name so see ya.........WADDA

Gatwick to Yeovil

With our first full day in the UK is about to begin were up early for the big English breakfast, to begin our next adventure into the English country side we need to pick up our hire car. Grab a set of wheels from Gatwick airport and head off in flogging rain towards the M23 and it's a nightmare. After many many twists and turns we hit A303 and push toward the southwest looking for Yeovil ,a quick visit to the hawk conservatory and we push on looking for Stonehenge. Getting off the main roads and on to some back roads we soon discover the old England and were very impressed .Stonehenge is our next place of interest, wow can you believe that this place exists and what an experience to visit such an ancient historical site. The crowds were unbelievable but the show was well run and well organised, it's getting late so we head to our Accomadation in Yeovil. We are a tad sad that this old country pub just not up to the standard required for international visitors , but life goes on its not the end of the world, gotta go...........WADDA

Leaving Europe for England

After 4 days in Tuscany the party is over, yes all good things must come to an end and today is that day. Our plan today is take a taxi bus from Lucignano to Fiumicino airport some 250ks away, as the bad boy bus driver cruised at 140ks we soon arrived at our destination shaken but not stirred. The flight to the UK was uneventful and no mid air dramas to worry about. Arriving at Gatwick we grab a cab and head to our hotel for the start of our UK escapades. Yes it is raining in Gatwick but that should be expected this is England after all, after a great feed we all retire early cos tomorrow we hit the English highways and country roads for a closer look at some real history.............WADDA

Sunday in Siena

With our wedding duties complete we have to concentrate on our remaining time over here ,but as Sunday morning arrives my ability to communicate via the blog is somewhat limited. My head was an empty space for quite awhile ,the decision is made to catch a bus over to Siena. The trip over was quite an experience, through winding hilly roads Fangio the bus driver delivers us to Siena. With most of my body parts re positioned I abandon the bus for a more solid footing on the ground ,we set off to explore this beautiful city. With churches and old building in no short supply pretty soon we've had enough and track down a gelato shop, it is still hot and thirsty weather so I continue to suffer. Back in Lucignano we gather in a shady spot to plan our evenings activities ,as 20 of us hit this lovely little restaurant they think KA CHING and it was worth every euro. Today we are catching a private bus back to Rome and head to the UK so my next blog will be from the old dart..............WADDA

Lounging around before the wedding

As the time draws closer to the event that bought us to the beautiful Tuscan town called Lucignano we continue the holiday way of life. Just lounging around drinking beer and wine also having my fill of some of the finest gelato in Italy, 5 ice creams a day is my quota but could go higher if required . Steff&Jake are happy that we have made the effort to share this special day with them ,and we are ever grateful for the invitation. With most of the elder members of the family on Roman soil we will share this wonderful day in good old Aussie fashion, as we stroll these narrow streets of Lucignano crossing paths with our newly made friends this is a very special time to bond with Steffs relatives and share these few day with some excellent people. Today the weather is again hot so it's more gelato more beer and more sitting on our bums in some small street side cafe.Life is being good to this old Aussie in this beautiful country, as the outback seems to be a million miles from here this will do until I return to my own beautiful land. I'm sitting high above the valley that surrounds this ancient city catching the odd gentle breeze and watching the world pass by below, this is retirement at its best. The wedding is set down for a 4 pm start , and by now it is very hot as we trudge to the venue. What a day everything just fell into place just I would have expected, with the bride on time this show is humming. It is now very very late WADDA is about to shut down for the night, the sun has gone down on this poor sole so good night....WADDA

The beautiful Lucignano

As l gather my thoughts high above the  Tuscany valley from the  beautiful walled city of Lucignano I am stunned by the sheer beauty of the surrounding countryside ,from my very elevated position i can see many many towns some nearby some faraway but this unspoilt area is for ever etched in my mind. The straglers have all arrived safely so we now wait for this wedding to happen on Saturday, most of our crowd are still training but l am afraid some maybe overtraining only time will tell. Walking the streets of this place brings many surprises from old churches to museums and many beautiful old residences .As the temperature climbs into the mid 30s I feel the need to join my teammates in a short training session, be back soon. After a couple of hours of solid training it's back to the task at hand and finish this blog, tonight we are off to meet and greet again and I feel danger lurking for some of our over trainers are showing signs of wear and tear, gotta go...............WADDA

Up and about early to get ready for our road trip to Lucignano some 250ks north of Rome, others are jetting in from places unknown to me so today it's off to the airport to await the arrival of these stragglers . The plan is for a couple of mini buses to take us this remote region of Italy so I hope everything pans out ok,but you just never know what can happen this far from home. But before all this can take place we need to fuel up on the BIG Italian breakfast which is awaiting me somewhere out there on the streets of Rome. Stomachs now chockablock with some very tasty Italian cuisine and just enough time to visit the last of this beautiful cities historical sites .With our self appointed tour guide Jane she then leads us to the Spanish Steps  which are under repair, the group is disappointed so it's onto the beautiful Trevi Fountain.Wow what an absolutely beautiful place ,contact has been made with the stragglers who have landed so we head to the airport to meet up. Departing from Rome international airport in a18 seat mini bus full of family and luggage, the A1freeway has our name written all over it. Pete the pizza delivery driver is at the wheel and we are off ,traveling at130 to 135ks and the Merc is fairly humming as we push further north deep into theTuscany region. With the traffic not to bad Pete continues to cane the Merc, as we arrive at the stunning walled city of Lucignano I thought the long overseas flight to get here was well and truly worth the effort. This ancient walled city and our hotel are so beautiful and history laden ,unless you were here you it is difficult to explain ,As night falls the families gather to meet and greet so let's not dilly dally let's get this show on the road, the men to the north and the women the south. Many many hours later we meet up and decide that we aren't that bad after all, this will be a great wedding. As the light fades on some of the guests we call it a night..............WADDA

London to Rome

Our night in the Heathrow Hilton was a some what of a struggle with the time zone difference sleep did not come easy and by watching tv and eating lollies at 2 30 am the time passed quickly until sunrise. Brecky begins at 630 so I need to be ready to attack a fine English breakfast so as to not fade away. Today we are heading to the Italian capital of Rome to meet the rest of the family wedding guests ,our Roman arrival was unheralded so there was no pressure to hit the ground running. Very soon contact is made with the others and arrangements were soon in place for a night out on the town. Seafood was on the menu so we mounted a challenge to rival the Deadliest Catch, with large glasses of beer we all chowed down. With stories being told and beer being drunk we've done the family proud in this faraway place, as we wander through the back streets of Rome I think of just how lucky I am to have such great people to spend this quality time with. Tomorrow we will do it all again as the rest of the team hits town, then we all head up to Lucignano for a family wedding. ..............WADDA

Action at 14000 metres

Departure from Tullamarine airport was a cold wet and windy affair late on Monday evening. After about 11 hours of flying and as we were crossing the Arabian Sea a 74 year old gentleman took a turn for the worst a started to collapse, Wadda sprung into action and was soon treating the elderly patient until they located a doctor , the gentleman recovered after further treatment and went on to complete his trip to London. It's now7am in Dubai the temperature has already risen to 33c thank god our stopover is only for a couple of hours, pretty soon we are London bound . The next 7 hrs goes without a hitch besides my non stop eating marathon we are doing ok. The Heathrow Hilton is soon located and check in is complete, with room service ordered and eaten its early to bed try 7 pm ,as the sun doesn't go down until around 9.30 pm I put on my sunglasses to try to tone down the glare. Tomorrow we head to Rome to assemble the troops for a tilt at wedding glory, the light is fading so goodbye .................WADDA

Wadda does Europe Aussie style

As I've mentioned previously we are about to take off again ,this time we are heading over to Italy to a family wedding to be held in Lucignano some 70 ks south of Florence. When the fun is done and dusted 4 of us will heading back to the UK for another 3 weeks of  R&R taking in Ireland and Scotland . Well that time has finally come as we prepare to leave for our biggest event of 2016, the rest of the party goers have departed our shores for other European destinations in wait of next weekends big bash or should i say Jake&Stefhs wedding . Wadda and Denny will depart later on today and head to London for a quick overnight stay then on to Rome to team up with the other members of this raiding party. When this goodtime family gathers in large numbers like this it usually means game on ,being so far from home should not worry this hardy group of Aussies who are well drilled in the art of self enjoyment. Wadda will be off the air for a couple of days until I load my mobile broadband with some European computing power ,so stay tuned for more updates on how this European adventure unfolds over the next 32 days..............WADDA

Returning Home

After what has been a fun filled few weeks in the beautiful outback countryside the party will soon over, and life will resume to some sort of normality. The resilience of the people who choose to live in these remote regions is just amazing ,from John&Shelia on Navarre Station who have not seen rain in 3 years to Paul&Kerry who run the charter boat service in Karumba the list goes on. The people we have met along the way it has helped us to tidy up this chaotic road trip into something we are proud of, to John Coutis the leg less motivator you took it all to another level in the lottery of life. To my 3 traveling companions I have thought long and hard on this comment just 2 words can describe this adventure we shared together PURE GOLD. And I must not forget Braidies Tavern in Strathfieldsaye for their generous support , the photo failure continues to dog these trips so I'm sorry but will continue try to rectify this major problem. As 1 trip winds down another appears on the horizon, yes Italy in July to attend a wedding. More on that later so see yah.........WADDA

Cobbold Gorge to Navarre

With the tyres on the Ford still giving us some grief we make the decision to stick to the bitumen, this will add about 400 kms to our first stop at Hughenden. Our journey takes us out through Mt Suprise then on to Charters Towers ,grab some supplies in this major centre before heading back out into the outback again. Saturday night in Hughenden is a quiet affair and it's early to bed, next day we head to Longreach. Kevin has a mate in town so we catch up with him for dinner at the Birdcage and a good time was had by all. Terry has missed the bus to Emerald by a day so we head to Barcaldine some 120kms to our east and let him try to hitchhike, no luck so his son covers the last 300kms to collect him. We head back to Navarre station to spend the night with John&Shealia Back,it's not long before we head off on the grand tour of this vast property. Arriving back at the homestead John test his guests on the shooting range, yes from pistol shooting to clay targets we had a crack at it all . Let's just say the current fishing champion is definitely not the shooting champion, the results were to close to call so no winner was declared. Gotta go .........WADDA

Cobbold Gorge

No proper service in this very remote region of the Savannah Gulf so I was very restricted in my internet use ,but life goes on. Just a couple of things you might not know about this very isolated tourist destination, firstly it has only been discovered in the last 22 years yet the property have been in the same family for 5 generations. But when you get here you feel very special this is outback central with a few perks, with the tourist season just beginning their is not many others about so we virtually have the run of the place. As we settle into this place of the rugged beauty I'm just so pleased we made the effort to drive these wild roads of northern Australia to just get here. With day tripping through the beautiful gorge and relaxing by the pool our time is soon up, we farewell this remote spot and head for Hughenden some 700kms to the South. Nothing more to say for the moment......WADDA

Karumba to Cobbold Gorge

Our time is over in the Gulf and we are starting to inch our way back down south, but not before we visit another place on my bucket list. Cobbold Gorge is the name of this beautiful place just a small dot on the map some 90kms south of Georgetownn. With the hand shaking and hugging over we leave this coastal paradise, our next destination being some 500kms to the east and fairly remote. With a tyre problem in Georgetownn soon sorted we head to this paradise in the bush, coming down the dusty driveway what greeted us was amazing with the stunning infinity pool over looking the lake   this looks good for the next couple of days .

The Captains Cup

Today is the day when all reputations are up for grabs, the captains cup is for the best overall seaman. The only 2 facing off for the grand title will be Kevin and Terry as Wadda and Paul could not compete at this level. Today on the Kerry D the charter boat being used for this event will the world renowned motivational speaker and fishing expert Mr John Coutis. For those of you who have not heard of this person i shall shed some light on his story, John was born with Spina bifita and choose to have his legs removed at 18 years of age and now travels the world giving motivational speeches. His speeches will be lost on these 2 combatants today as they battle for the bragging rights , we arrange to take this skateboard riding judge to the boat ramp . The judge is positioned with a commanding view of the battle ground at the front of the boat in the blazing sun, as we head out into the war zone .About7 kms off shore it's rods away and it's not long before we are all hauling fish over the side. As the judge bakes in the hot morning sunshine captive to his position the fish just keep coming over the side, morning tea is called . Whilst  the judge is slowly roasting away Kev has grabbed a big lead in this head to head battle , and when Kevin hauls another huge fish on board Terry hoists the white flag . Bragging rights have been retained by the current champion ,while the judge continues to suffer in the sweltering sun we head home. After thanking the ever helpful crew of the Kerry Dee we launch the judge into the back of the Ford and return him to where there was some shade, he was ever so grateful. We strike a deal with the pub next door to prepare a fish and chip lunch over looking the water ,with our new found mate sitting at the head of the table actually on the table we had a very long lunch. As he spoke of the many famous people who he had dealt with throughout his worldwide travels I'm sure that there are 4 blokes from down south who just joined this list. Again J.C the very short time our paths crossed will be remembered forever........WADDA

Burketown to Karumba,

After a great overnight stay at the Savannah lodge in Burketown and a big breakfast we make our way eastward across the gulf. This 300km section is unknown to this bunch of southerners so it will be a suck it and see trip. Pretty soon we hit the hard and fast dirt section of the Savannah way and it's game on, with plenty of creeks and gullies to cross these are testing times for both car and navigator. We arrive at the major turning point so do we go left or do we go right ,the road left is 250 kms shorter but has had a lot of rain a few weeks prior to our arrival. No coin tossing decisions to be made  here we turn left , as we move toward the unknown i think of my loved ones so far away. The others I'm not so sure as I look at their dead pan faces ,through washed out rivers and creeks we inch eastward with caution. As we are in big cattle country Kev gives a running commentary on feed conditions also the quality of these big cattle with the hump and cattle yards, our minds now rest easy . Arrival at the Burke and Wills camp number 119 brings us some joy as its now no far from Normanton, hot and humid conditions greet us at Karumba, time to relax and prepare for the evening boat cruise. Damm it's 4.40 pm we are informed the boat leaves at 4.45 pm for our sunset cruise ,not tonight maybe tomorrow perhaps. This hardy bunch of seafarers is booked on the 6.45am KERRY D fishing trip so no late night tonight, this is the only time to KO the current family fishing champion big KEV . Over the evening meal another challenge is unearthed regarding the famous sport of seamanship, only 2 contenders in this division which happen to Mudgie V big Kev will fight for the captains cup. Paul and WADDA will only be observers

Camooweal to Burketown

We leave this small town which is so near the Northern Territory boarder you could you nearly kick a footy there, armed with far more knowledge of this small town and it's people than we ever imagined. These are the most down to earth people you would ever wish to meet, even though our time here was short my memories will linger for a long time to come. The locals became very interested in the journey of these 4 brothers inlaws from the south, footy was a major topic and anything else they thought of. One of these blokes was called Paul Finlay who not only knew the history of Camooweal but also the whos who of the people, after a few beers he invites us to his drovers camp museum on the edge of town. We arrange to meet the next morning at the site, the stuff Paul has collected is absolutely amazing. Time is now pushing our buttons so we depart this lonely little town headed for Burketown about 400 kms to our north, road conditions are pretty good for most of the trip even after 240 mil of rain a fortnight ago. Stopping off at the Gregory Downs hotel brings back a few memories for Paul and myself as we passed this way in2009 ,as we continue north toward Burketown some 120 kms further on the temperature continues to rise. Arriving at the Savannah Lodge the boys are impressed with this tropical haven and give it the thumbs up, so we chuck our stuff inside and head to the pool cos now it's stinken hot. After many hours in this place of pleasure it's off to have our evening meal at the Morning Glory restaurant, Barra  of course , tomorrow we head for the town of Karumba about 70 kms north of Normanton........Wadda

Sunday 3 April 2016

Mt Isa to Camooweal

The day has begun like any other Sunday on this trip WADDA up early the rest will follow,as we chow down on another fabulous breakfast at the Leichhardt Accomadation block our planned trip to Camooweal is being unthreaded at the breakfast table. After pumping more gas into the rig we set sail for Camooweal some 190 kms away in a westerly direction, Time has come for the tour director to speak to the other party members regarding a alcohol free day in accordance with the grey nomads guide. With shock and horror written on there faces you would have thought a arm or a leg had been lost, with three to one odds against me I felt the battle been lost but Paul was prepared to compromise with a 8 hr rest been 10 pm and 6 am. The other 2 stood there ground and would not budge, on arrival at Camooweal we pushed on to the N.T boarder some 20kms further on , with the outside temperature hovering around 40c we ditched the grey nomad handbook for another day. Now to the Camooweal caves about 25kms to the south ,shit is hotter than the devils breath out here back to the Post Office hotel for dip in the pool . This hotel is a gem which means spotlessly clean and most definitely welcoming, no let up with the heat so we are sitting on the veranda facing the Barkley highway watching the world go by very slowly. No meals at the pub so we hit the servo ,another gem in this very remote location,as the sun dips on the horizon I will treasure this memory of a great country town.......WADDA

Saturday in Mt Isa

The weather up here is in the high 30s so we plan to just take it easy for day or so, the Leichhardt Accommodation block is resort style living with a difference . The breakfasts here are a fantastic buffet style all you can eat affairs, the place is absolutely spotless and the donga style rooms are just what the weary travelers need. With a few small jobs to attend to our work is soon done and it's off to the lake for a picnic, Lake Moondarra is about 14 kms to the north of Mt Isa .With a few navigational errors we finally arrive at this water wonderland and find some shade, out comes the bickies and cheese. The temperature has risen to about 38 c and we are sure feeling the effects so we all reach into the esky and settle for a cool drink. As WADDA checks for any dangerous lake monsters he then enters the warm murky water, this bath like water is refreshing but that's about all. The heat eventually beats the brave souls from the south and we head home to the air conditioned donga and lay out a plan for Saturday night in Mt Isa. As we chill out and plan the evenings events a couple of blokes from Townsville introduce themselves and it's game on ,the stories come thick and fast and very soon we are long lost buddies. The couple of hours spent with Bob and Eggon will stay with us for a very long time, planning our evening out is put on hold, when the back slapping and hand shaking is over we head for the Irish club. The food was fine but we need our rest so catch the bus back home, our day is done........WADDA

Windorah to Kynuna

Up and about early for some , the road to Bedourie is still closed so the trip will be re routed via Longreach and Cloncurry, the 300 kms to Longreach will take in 2 isolated towns called Stonehenge and Jundah .  After a couple of hours in Longreach we push on ,the trip to Cloncurry is about 550 kms so we decide to head for this far flung place, a quick stop at Winton and the journey continues. Driving into the setting sun takes its toll at Kynuna so we seek shelter for the night at the pub. We settle on the price for the night in this flyblown insect ridden poverty pack hotel,as few more weary travelers pull into this lonely place I dont feel so bad ,fed and watered we wander back to the luxury section of this lonely place and open my door and enter the wide world of insects .After a couple of quick night caps I retire, not long into planned sleep find i am not alone ,yes miss preying mantis is also sharing my space so after a flick and a kick she didn't bother me again.Next morning early we flee this overpriced insect infested hellhole, with empty stomachs we head for Cloncurry still some 180kms away. Hit Mt Isa around lunch time the temperature is hovering around 36c so we get a early check in and hit the pool .Off to the Buffs club for dinner WADDA snags a prize in the raffle the Maggies pip the Tiges in the footy things just got a whole lot better ...........WADDA

Eulo to Windorah

As I awake to another overcast day in the outback my mind flicks back to the previous evenings antics I just shudder. After a big breakfast at the quaint Eulo pub we hit the road again. Passing the mud baths we all look at one another and just  laugh. Hoping to find some black roads today as we never saw any yesterday, here's hoping as we are on a express run to Windorah some 600 to the north west. With the early morning sun at our backs we head for Thargomindah about 160 kms away to see the thermal power generator in operation, but to our dismay it's buggered so no history lesson today. As we strike north toward Quilpie i find since my last visit to this region more bitumen has been added to this horrid road so it's time to to let the big ford loose for a while. Our arrival at the Tompine hotel is welcomed with a cool drink, Quilpie being next stop for lunch . The long lonely road to Windorah is a mind numbing experience which you all should experience at least once in your life, the main survivors in this area are FLYS yes they are here in their millions  of them. Arriving at Windorah the temperature is 36c and more flys , again greeted by no phone service which means no blog. Coopers cabins are a welcome relief in this outback oasis and our cabins are spotless, the restaurant run by the owners is first class with beautiful meals and a great selection of Australian wines so we invest the sponsorship money into sampling some of their collection. The travel weary boys retire but far from defeated have a nightcap before retiring to bed in this very tranquil location.....WADDA

Tibboburra to Eulo Via Reola

Up early to catch the famous Tibboburra sunrise but I've been duded again, yes it is overcast and raining but still very warm. The time is 7.45am and the rebels are yet to rise I wonder what could be the problem, maybe to much honky tonk. The time is near when I'll speak to these boys about the rules of outback travel, which are don't go to hard to early. There is still a long way to go on this outback adventure, on departure from Tibboburra we notice a women in her wedding dress on the balcony of the pub so stop to take some happy snaps. We head east some 300kms on the some of the roughest roads I have encountered and we call this fun .Some180 kms down down the road from hell we spot a sign pointing to Reola station ,as we drive another 28 kms to the south and arrive at the biggest shearing shed you would ever see . On meeting the owner of this huge sheep station who then gives us a guided tour of this vast shearing shed we were somewhat impressed, we continue heading east till we arrive at Wanaring for a lunch stop with no food available we settle for a ice cream . To the north lies Hungerford smack bang on the NSW ,,,,,,QLD boarder , road conditions have gotten worse but we push on. Arriving at the boarder Paul opens the gates and we begin the last 130kms to Eulo, our attraction to this very small QLD town is its mud baths. Accomadation at the EULO QUEEN hotel is fine so we head to the mud baths for some pampering , with 4 naked men bathing together and having a glass of red by the open fire let your mind wander ,it was not a pretty site. We head back to the pub for dinner and a well earned early night, maybe some meditation before we hit the sack as we ready ourselves for another day in the beautiful outback.....WADDA

Broken Hill to Tibboburra

Attaching photos is still a concern for for this dumb bum blogger as you may have noticed, but I'm working on this problem and hope to be able to rectify it soon. I now need to thank our sponsors for making this trip possible,to Bob and Marge Braidie the owners of Braidies Tavern in Strathfieldsaye thanks again for your support. The plan for today is to visit the historical town of Silverton then continue on to Tibboburra some 300kms toward the QLD boarder ,on the drive out to this lonely outpost I reflect on the early settlers plight who settled this region. As we scour the surrounds of this remote region investigating it's history we soon learn of the gold diggers plight on arrival in this area was of sheer disappointment,no water no gold . As we creep back into this very remote outback town bugger me dead if we don't come across one of the 2 local watering hole,as I open the money bag the eyes of the other 3 blokes become as big as dinner plates . I think there is trouble brewing in the camp, asWadda the tour director buckles to the pressure of these outback rebels we continue solve the problems of the world. Our outing takes us to the Tibboburra hotel where we meet a happy couple from Mt Evelyn on their honeymoon, after gas bagging for while we discover they have 9 kids between

As we return the Granite motel the sun has wfell and truly set on the tired and weary crew, now for photos of today's events I'll cross my fingers and toes and hope this all goes well for Wadda .  WADDA

It's time to go

The time has has come for these 4 brave souls to expose themselves to the wilds of outback Australia, with the big ford fuelled and ready to go we head west to Brim a small country town in the southern mallee to view the painted silos. The 70 km detour was well worth the effort, with some minor grumblings from the rear section of the car we arrive at this fantastic display of silo art . These paintings were completed by the world famous street artist Guido Van Helton in just over a month. As we point the big ford north and start to put the cool weather behind us , yes we are now officially heading to the Gulf region of northern Queensland. After a quick stop at Ouyen we continue up the Calder highway arriving at Mildura we grab a all day breakfast, we then begin to shop for supplies to take us further up north to our final destination. Beer and wine will also play a big part of our survival so these health drinks are soon loaded aboard. With Broken Hill our next stop we hot foot it for the next 300 kms through the south western NSW to this isolated city , off out for the evening meal at the Demo Club which we all enjoyed. We declare a early night so we can tackle the trip to Tibboburra tomorrow, who knows what lays ahead on these lonely dusty roads.       WADDA

Where to from here

With 10 days to go until we begin our heroic journey to the outback things have fallen to s..t . Yes some very heavy rain has fallen on some of our chosen routes making it almost impossible to navigate  into some of the pristine locations we planned to visit. I will continue to monitor the QLD road closure website and try to have a plan B ready just in case some of these roads reopen , otherwise come Easter Sunday this group of hard core adventurers will be off like a dog shot in the arse.Where we go we do not care , this is all about us having fun over a 20 day period. We will be aiming for the Gulf region of Queensland to places like Burketown Karumba and also Cobbold Gorge,if we find the roads are impassible we will explore many other out of the way places. Just hope the 3 other blokes also share my dream to wander through this vast and beautiful country called Australia, more in 10 days when we depart.            WADDA

Tattooing.

Today has been spent on our inefficient public transport system going to and from the Edinburgh tattoo at Empty Head stadium in Melbourne to sunny Seymour. Our journey started with the train to Melbourne being packed to the gunnels . Standing room only till Broadmeadows then the surban to the city,as I say never look back if you are going forward. As we shuffle toward the stadium we all feel the need for food so we drag our selves into some unorganised establishment for a few morsels of I think they call it food. Now we are ready for the big event ,and what a great show it turned out to be. 2 and a half hours later we hit the Mail Exchange hotel for a cool drink before we chance our luck on our return journey. With a on time departure my hopes are high but it is not long before the death rattles start to appear in this dodgy Public Transport System, the train running 1hour ahead of us has had a hissy fit and stopped . Life is not meant to be easy but a little bit of luck would good on the odd occasion, some 55 minutes later snail rail continues to take me towards my final destination slowly. My evening plans with the bride have been shattered so it looks like pizza AGAIN , well enough wingeing it's time to to to forgive and forget this terrible experience and move on .

WADDAS up dates his itinerary for 2016

You guessed it Wadda is putting his skates on for a very busy year ahead, as of Monday the 8 th of February I begin preparing for the Seymour Alternative expo. A job that gives me much pleasure ,it will be hot and  hard but also very therapeutic for this aging old retired steel wheeled cowboy. Then on Easter Sunday we will be venturing to the rugged outback of Australia for Boys trip number 3. This journey will take us through the beautiful Barossa Valley of SA on up through Wilpena Pound onto the now filling Lake Eyre , Birdsville then to Mt Isa as we swing past Camooweal heading onto Gregory Downs as the road still heads on to Burketown ,this will be our most northerly destination. The north bound part of the journey is now complete we strike out in an easterly direction bound for Karumba right in the guts of the Gulf . This is prawn and big fish country, bragging rights begin here, reputation are made and also destroyed in this part of our beautiful country. Cobbold Gorge is our next point of interest, more on that later. From here we begin the journey south taking in Hughenden.... Muttaburra....Ilfacombe. The next couple of days will be spent with a local farmer and his wife on their sheep station at Navvare. As we spiral out of control we head deeper south to  Noccundra then the long lonely road to Broken Hill. By now home is calling our names not before a visit to Menindee Lakes .....Pooncarie and Mungo Station. Our last stop over will be in Mildura in the heart of Sunraysia, our last day as we follow the Murray River  to Robinvale ...Swan Hill we will reflect on another great journey through our big harsh beautiful country

Trip 2 yes there is more to come , the end of July brings my next trip on to the radar, my wife and I will venture back to the old dart again for the wedding of Jake&Steff. This gig is taking place just outside Florence, more on that later. The last 3 weeks will be spent driving through England ....Cornwall.....Wales.......Ireland and Scotland so this time I will be ready for those Pommie drivers and roundabouts .WATCH THIS Space
