The Lakes District

Today we are going to explore the beautiful lakes around Windermere, but we spot a sign pointing to Levan Castle and gardens. The girls win the first battle of the day so it's castle gazing first up, it's ok if you like castles but my motto is seen one seen em all. We eventually head to the beautiful lakes district but the non working holidaying poms have taken over this beautiful place, our plans are soon devoured by cars and people . What a bummer with our well laid plans in disarray we head further north to Ambleside which is still busy but not as bad. With the rest of the day spent just cruising these tight narrow roads we arrive at a place called Coniston ,on the lake here is where Donald Campbell was killed in 1967 trying to set a new water speed record . All these towns and villages are so so pretty you never tire of there beauty, the weather has been mainly fine so still in shorts and thongs. Today we head to Dunblane in Scotland for 3 days so see ya then.........WADDA
