The Isle Of Man our next stop

After wandering the streets of Manchester yesterday we set our sights on Douglas the capital of I.O.M today, I’m well rested and with a big English brecky under my bulging belt we are ready to roll  We’ve already run into some people who are also joining our tour and over several ciders they give us a rundown on island life ,sounds fun. Before heading off gotta check on the rental car we’ve hired on our return to the UK ( don’t need a shitbox) .Daylight over here begins around 4 am and sunset is 9.45 pm this makes a long day of it ,and with the weather not in the favour of the tourists we may struggle to maintain our outdoor activity’s. Rabbis is soldiering on with his wounded wing and can get a stubbie of soft drink to his mouth (I think his recovery should be ok over the next couple of weeks) .We check out of the Clayton Hotel at midday and head over to the airport for our 3.45 departure to IOM, already the shit has hit the fan and our departure is delayed by 1hr as more TT fanatics start to arrive we continue to mingle. This skinny cigar shaped plane with propellers sits on the runway with our names on it ,I start to breathe just a little bit faster and my heart starts to pound in my chest also a bit faster. Oh shit this flying egg beater is our ticket to paradise, as I gather my thoughts I convince myself that I would be okay. The sun is shining for the first time today so things look good for the racing on the IOM then the rain returns. Our arrival in Douglas the capital of theIOM I’m very surprised just beautiful this place is ,our accommodation is fine but very dated and could do with a freshen up. It’s now 8 pm and time to fuel this hungry body again , and as from tomorrow I hope to send some photos of this beautiful spot tomorrow so until then it’s cider hunting time ........... WADDA

TIME TO GO AGAIN

I mentioned many months ago that I would be heading to the Isle Of Man to watch this years TT racing with a long time mate , well it’s now time. Part of this 15 day holiday will be action packed and we will be watching small men riding big motorcycles at speeds reaching 200 mph , the sheer insanity of this begs belief. I’ve spent many months stitching this unsupervised plan together so what could go possibly go wrong, god knows. My traveling companion on this trip is Kev the plumber also known as RABBI , with this being his maiden overseas trip we should have some fun. To fill in a few gaps regarding my mate , he is a bike riding nut , and he has been known to enjoy a few cool drinks in any sort of weather. And to those who know WADDA who has been living the life of a recluse it should make for some real entertainment over the next 15 days. The flight Was long and tiresome but we did eventually arrive in Manchester around 7.30 am, after dropping our bags at the hotel we head into Manchester. We travel around this busy city by public transport visiting Man City football club hoping to tour this famous venue, but to our horror the Spice Girls are playing tonight. So we head for Old Trafford another must see venue, to our surprise the gates were open and we marched straight in. This place just oozes history and was well worth the visit, I don’t think there will be any shenanigans today as we struggle into the afternoon trying to reset our body clock. The time has come to put up the shutters so maybe more from WADDA tomorrow.........WADDA
