The Gold Coast - My short break

Leaving Melbourne on a cool Saturday morning I’m headed north with the dear wife to spend 7 days with our grandson on the Gold Coast, on our arrival at Coolangatta we are greeted by hot and humid conditions. Grabbed a rental car and headed for Southport just above Surfers Paradise, not long and WADDA is frolicking in the pool. Next day it’s off to the Tambourine mountains for some solid eating and a bit of sightseeing, it is still hot so we include some drinks as well. As WADDA pours over all the things in the tourist guide that may suit his lust for adventure he spots jet skiing, right up this adventure seeking Aussies ally. A deal is done for the all inclusive package so it’s early to bed, the next day dawns overcast and heavy rain is also predicted. The rain is certainly hammering down when WADDA lines up for his induction but it won’t stop this thrill seeker, this was the best 90 minutes of fun you could imagine. It’s still raining and more is predicted for tomorrow but tomorrow is another day . With a grumbling stomach we prepare to launch our hungry bodies towards the nearest hash house to finish another successful day in beautiful QLD..........WADDA
