The last hours in Tallinn

We clamber for our last big breakfast at the My City Hotel in Tallinn prior to our departure for Sweden, we treat this as the last supper so plenty of food is consumed. With the taxi booked for 7.30 we soon consume a very large portion of what’s on offer, Ivan the lead footed taxi driver is cooling his jets outside when we arrive and he has no particular way to load our treasures into the boot of his Toyota, Ivan slams the boot with all his power yes it’s closed. Now a dead set flat chat run to the airport which I might say is only 4 kms away, the first roundabout is near enough for Ivan so we unload and we go the rest of the way by foot . I sling big Ivan 10 euros and the smiling Estonian disappears into the traffic , we check in and await the next flight to Stockholm at 10.35 . The 45 minute flight was over in no time so we catch the Express airport link to the city, only one room ready so we stow the bags. Did I say room I meant box it’s come direct from the IKEA factory but the bed feels ok, if there is a cat swinging competition in Stockholm today it won’t be held in room 148 no siree . I suppose the other option is to sleep on the street but it’s far to cool for that , it’s now raining so it’s the box for WADDA. And no more complaints will be spoken about, had a quick visit to the Nobel museum and found it to be worth a look , the dinner bell must be ringing somewhere so I round up the sisters from their palace like room and we head out to see what we can round up. Across the street is a street cafe so we dive in for a quick look it’s Asian and we settle in , bloody beautiful. A thing that is becoming very clear in the Volvo capital of the universe is that money is now second and the card is king, lots of places take the card only. If the weather is kind to us tomorrow it will be full on sightseeing. Back tomorrow........ WADDA
