WOW WOW WOW

With a 9am departure from Rome to Milan by the Italian rail system then Milan to Brig by the Swiss railway I pondered this journey in my head for many many months .With my first impression of the Italian railway i felt a bit short changed, but all that changed today when this red rocket departed. This train was consistently cruising at between 250and300kph for nearly 3 hrs As it headed for the Swiss alps, passing through the far reaches of northern Italy. This journey is a must for any travelers who venture this way, changing trains in Milan was a simple process and we were soon aboard the Swiss version of a fast train. As we head deeper into northern Italy we are steadily climbing into foothills of the alps,the scenery here is just so beautiful. With our arrival into Switzerland and this jaw dropping scenery just goes on and on, then this mob of Aussies arrive in Brig in the shadows of the Matterhorn we are now all gibbering wrecks . This is heaven and the snow covered peaks look close enough to touch, but that is our program for tomorrow. As we snoop around this lovely little town we immediately notice no crowds and not much traffic, peace at last . Tomorrow all trains head to Zermatt then catch the cog train  further up the Matterhorn into the skid mark in your undies region of the alps, this is sure to leave some of the travelers feeling scared. The thin air is making me tired so goodnight.........WADDA
